This was first piece I painted in 2020 – and the last piece I completed before my art show in San Francisco. It navigates the relationship between reaction and response – and our choice between the two. As Viktor Frankl wrote, “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."
